Experiences

With its majestic temples, unique culture and traditions, and numerous beaches for surfing or relaxation, Bali is a traveler’s dream.
Away Bali Legian Camakila is located near the island’s legendary Kuta Beach, with excellent swimming, gorgeous sunsets and frequent live musical performances in the evening. Kuta town is worth an extended visit to explore its thriving marketplaces, cultural curiosities, and energetic shopping streets.
No trip to Bali is complete without a visit to one of its many iconic temples. The famous Tanah Lot temple is easily accessible on a short trip from the resort, as are the other multi-roofed temples that make Balinese architecture instantly recognizable on the world stage. The Uluwatu, Pura Besakih, and Taman Ayun temples also offer spectacular sightseeing for visitors to this charming island.
The nearby Seminyak Beach offers exceptional surfing opportunities (with instructors available, for those new to the sport) in a comfortable and laid-back environment. Adventurers can also make the most of parasailing and bungy-jumping activities in the area, boosting your adrenaline while providing scenic views of the island’s attractive landscape.
A day trip to the Ubud’s Monkey Forest, as well as its thousand-year-old Elephant Cave filled with Hindu sculptures, is just one of many destinations that highlight Bali’s unique environment. Further north but still within easy reach, the island also boasts a pair of beautiful volcanic lakes known as Bratan and Batur.
Special Balinese dance performances occur regularly and represent a wonderful opportunity to fall into rhythm with island culture. Getting into the local food and fashion scene is another highly recommended experience, as Bali’s taste in both cuisine and clothing is as inventive as it is impressive.
And of course, enjoying a special Balinese-style massage at Salila Spa is the ideal way to finish a day of exploration around this magnificently varied and engaging island.
